Ingredients

1 qt. milk
1/2 c. rice
6 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. rosewater or vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Rinse rice, drain and place in a pan.
Add water, cover and simmer over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
Add milk, stirring constantly.
As it begins to thicken, add sugar and rosewater or vanilla.
Continue stirring until the rice is soft or well done. (This should be like a cream filling.)
Remove from heat and pour directly into dessert dishes to cool, serves 6 people.
