Chocolate Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (2 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. light cream
    1 egg
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 slices day-old bread, crusts off and cubed (about 3 c.)
    confectioners sugar or whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
    In saucepan, melt chocolate, remove from heat and stir in cream until smooth; set aside.
    In a large bowl, beat egg; add sugar, milk, vanilla and salt.
    Mix well.
    Stir in chocolate mixture; add bread and toss.
    Let stand 15 minutes.
    Spoon into greased 2-cup souffle dishes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes. Top with confectioners sugar or whipped cream.
    Makes 2 servings.
