Crock-Pot Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew beef (lean)
    1 large can beef or chicken broth, skim fat
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 pkg. mixed vegetables
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. diced turnip or shredded cabbage
Preparation
    Place broth and tomatoes in crock-pot.
    Start on high. Meanwhile saute beef, onion and pepper.
    Add frozen vegetables, remaining chopped vegetables and sauteed ingredients.
    Reduce heat to low setting.
    Simmer 6 to 8 hours.
    Serve with crusty bread or biscuits.
