German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 potatoes
    1/2 c. onions
    1 lb. bacon
    3/4 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. green or red peppers
    salt to taste
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Peel and slice potatoes.
    Cook to almost done. Cut bacon in small bits and fry crispy.
    Into bacon drippings, fry onions. After onions are done, mix water, vinegar and sugar to onion mix and put in green peppers.
    Cook until boiling. Thicken slightly with cornstarch, then add bacon and potatoes.
    Taste to see if you need more sugar or vinegar or salt.
