Ingredients

1 c. dates, chopped
1 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. white sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/3 c. boiling water
Preparation

Mix dates, flour, milk, 1 cup brown sugar and baking powder and place in 8-inch pan.
Mix white sugar and 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and sprinkle mixture evenly over top of dough. Dot with 2 tablespoons butter and nuts.
Over this pour the boiling water.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until thick (30 minutes.)
