Potato Leek Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium-size leeks (about 12 oz.)
    8 medium-size potatoes (about 2 1/2 lb.)
    4 Tbsp. olive oil or salad oil
    2 c. chicken broth
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cut off root and tough leaves from leek.
    Cut leek lengthwise in half; rinse to remove sand.
    Cut leek into slices.
    Peel and cut potatoes into 1/2-inch pieces.
