Honey-Peanut Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. honey or light corn syrup
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
    4 c. corn flakes
    1/2 c. salted peanuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Butter square pan (8 x 8 x 2).
    Heat honey and sugar just to boiling in a 3-quart pan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
    Stir in peanut butter.
    Fold in cereal and peanuts.
    Press firmly in pan.
    Let stand at least 1 hour.
    Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
    Store loosely covered at room temperature.
