Sour Cream Apple Piestilwell, Kansas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Single pie crust
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. dairy sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 medium size apples
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, salt and nutmeg into a large bowl.
    Stir in beaten egg, sour cream and vanilla.
    Wash, pare, quarter, core and slice apples thinly (about 2 cups).
    Fold into sour cream mixture; spoon into unbaked pastry shell.
    Bake in a pre-heated hot oven (400\u00b0) for 15 minutes.
    Lower heat to moderate (350\u00b0); bake 30 minutes longer.
