Toffee Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 large pkg. chocolate bits
    1 Tbsp. grated paraffin
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water, salt and butter in pan and bring to a boil.
    Cook to 285\u00b0 to 300\u00b0.
    Do not stir after boiling starts. Add nuts and spread on warm, buttered cookie sheet.
    Cool.
    Melt chocolate bits, one half at a time, with paraffin.
    Spread on top of candy.
    Cool, then on other side.
    Cool, then break into pieces.
