Vanilla Cream Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. sifted powdered sugar
    5 Tbsp. scalded cream
Preparation
    Blend butter, vanilla and salt; add 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Add hot cream and remaining sugar alternately in small amounts, beating after each addition.
    Add only enough cream to make frosting soft enough to spread.
    Will cover sides and top of 1 (10 x 10-inch) cake.
