Mother'S Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage, sliced
    onion
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Slice the onion over 1/2 head cabbage.
    Slice remaining cabbage. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar on this. Set aside.
    Mix and heat to a boil the vinegar, oil, celery seed, mustard and 1 teaspoon sugar.
    Pour this mixture over cabbage and onion.
    Let stand at least 24 hours in refrigerator.
