Plantation Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. flour
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
    1 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. rich sour cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and gradually add sugar.
    Mix baking soda and salt with sour cream.
    Immediately add to butter, sugar mixture. Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla.
    Gradually add flour, blending thoroughly.
    Drop by the spoonful on an ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Garnish with nuts, if desired.
