Joan'S Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/4 c. flour
    colored sugar
Preparation
    With mixer, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
    Add 2 cups flour, a little at a time.
    When flour is all blended, add another 1/4 cup flour by hand.
    Press firmly into 7 1/2 x 12-inch pan and prick top with fork to make dots in a row.
    Sprinkle with colored sugar.
