Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. Karo syrup (white)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    1 lb. raw Spanish peanuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Put all ingredients (except peanuts and baking soda) into saucepan.
    Let sugar start to melt and then add peanuts.
    Cook until peanuts taste roasted.
    (You can test this by cooling a peanut in a glass of cold water and then tasting.)
    Add baking soda and pour into 2 buttered pizza pans.
    Break when cooled.
