Buttermilk Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Cook sugar, buttermilk and soda in 3-quart saucepan to soft ball stage (234\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and pecan halves.
    Beat until candy thickens.
    Will be ready quick.
    Drop on waxed paper.
    Makes approximately 20 small pralines.
