Cincinnati Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 (29 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can peeled whole tomatoes
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. freshly grated black pepper
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 clove garlic
    3 bay leaves
Preparation
    Brown the meat and onion.
    Drain off any grease.
    Place meat and onion in a large, thick-bottomed pot or a crock-pot.
    Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
    Cook slowly for at least 4 hours, covered.
    Remove bay leaves and garlic before serving. Serve on a bed of spaghetti and top with grated Cheddar cheese.
