Heleyne'S Favorite Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened milk
    dash of salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
    coconut (optional)
Preparation
    In top of double boiler, melt chocolate chips.
    Remove from heat; add milk, salt, vanilla and nuts or coconut.
    Stir until smooth.
    Spread mixture evenly into waxed paper-lined 8 x 8-inch baking pan.
    Chill 2 hours, until firm.
    Turn fudge onto cutting board and peel off waxed paper.
    Cut into squares.
    Tightly cover. Makes 1 3/4 pounds.
