Peanut Butter Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, beaten
    3 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. chunky peanut butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 baked pie shell
    1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine eggs and milk in a medium saucepan; blend well.
    Add sugar, cornstarch and salt; stir into egg mixture.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Pour hot filling into bowl.
    Cover with wax paper and chill.
    Whip chilled mixture until creamy; add peanut butter and vanilla.
    Beat until smooth.
    Pour filling into pastry shell.
    Spoon whipped cream around edge of shell.
    Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
