Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. red food coloring
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. cake flour, sifted 3 times
    1 scant tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix food coloring with the cocoa.
    Set aside.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add the eggs to the cocoa mixture.
    Mix well.
    Add buttermilk, flour, salt and vanilla.
    Add vinegar and baking soda with a spoon.
    Bake in greased and floured 8 or 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
