Apricot Candy Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. cream
    1 c. dried apricots, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cook the first 4 ingredients in a heavy skillet to soft ball stage (236\u00b0).
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Beat by hand until stiff enough to knead.
    Put on board; knead until smooth.
    Shape into roll.
    Chill; cut in slices.
