Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 c. sugar
    2 qt. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. non-iodized salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mixed spices (whole)
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    2 c. pickle lime
    2 gal. water
Preparation
    Mix 2 cups pickle lime and 2 gallons water in a ceramic cooker.
    Slice about 5 to 6 pounds cucumbers.
    Soak in lime overnight or 12 hours.
    Wash well.
