Joy'S Chocolate Caramel Apples On-A-Stick - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 apples (2 1/2 to 3-inches in diameter)
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. white corn syrup
    1/4 c. milk
    1 to 2 sq. bitter chocolate
    dash of salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. shredded coconut, chopped nuts or peanuts (optional)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1 c. vegetable oil
    2 1/2 tsp. hot water
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. grated carrots
    1 c. chopped black walnuts*
    3 egg whites
Preparation
    Beat together the sugar, egg yolks and oil along with the hot water.
    Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
    Add to egg yolk mixture.
    Then add carrots and walnuts.
    Beat egg whites until stiff; gently fold into mixture.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven in a well-greased tube pan for about 55 minutes.
    Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
