Chicken Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 chicken breasts
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. butter
    1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 (5 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp. hot sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 cans asparagus spears
Preparation
    Boil chicken breasts in seasoned water.
    Cool.
    Cut in small pieces.
    Saute onions in butter until tender.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Simmer until cheese melts.
    Assemble layer of chicken, layer of asparagus, layer of sauce.
    Repeat, ending with sauce.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until bubbly.
    Serves 12.
