Ingredients

1 cup firmly packed lt. brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup apple cider
1/2 cup egg beaters
2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 medium apples, peeled and diced
3/4 cup almonds or pecans
Preparation

In large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, beat sugar and margarine until creamy.
Add cider and eggbeaters, beat until smooth.
At low speed gradually blend flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
Stir in apples and nuts.
Drop by spoonful 2 inches apart onto greased bakery sheet.
Bake 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from sheet.
Cool on wire rack.
