Deer Hunter'S Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. deer hamburger meat
4 large boiled potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/8-inch thick
2 large onions, peeled and sliced 1/8-inch thick
3 large tart apples, sliced 1/8-inch thick
1 c. beef stock or 1 c. water with 3 bouillon cubes dissolved in it
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. bread crumbs
Preparation

Saute meat in a heavy skillet until lightly browned.
Arrange a layer of potatoes over bottom of a 1 1/2-quart greased casserole dish; follow with a layer of meat, a layer of onions and a layer of apples.
Repeat until all ingredients are used up.
Heat the beef stock, nutmeg, pepper and salt.
Pour liquid mixture over casserole.
Sprinkle bread crumbs over casserole.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 to 50 minutes.
