Cinnamon Streusel Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/3 c. multi-bran Chex cereal, crushed to 1 c. and divided
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. + 1 Tbsp. sugar, divided
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. skim milk
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
applesauce (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Coat 8-inch square or round pan with no-stick cooking spray.
In large bowl, combine 2/3 cup cereal, flour, 1/2 cup sugar and baking powder; add 1/4 teaspoon salt if desired.
Set aside.
In small bowl, combine milk, oil, egg and vanilla; add to reserved cereal mixture all at once.
Stir until combined.
Pour into prepared pan; set aside.
In small bowl, combine remaining 1/3 cup cereal, remaining 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle over reserved cake batter; cut through batter with knife to swirl.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until tests done. Serve with warm applesauce if desired.
Makes 9 servings.
