24-Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. chopped lettuce
    salt, pepper and sugar
    6 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    1 lb. bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
    2 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. green onions, chopped
    paprika
Preparation
    Place 3 cups lettuce in a large bowl.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper and sugar.
    Place layer of sliced eggs, salt and pepper, then layer of peas, layer of lettuce, layer of bacon and layer of cheese.
    Spread mayonnaise over all and seal to edge of bowl with mayonnaise. Cover and chill 24 hours.
    Garnish with paprika.
