Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. water
3 c. uncooked rolled oats
Preparation

Cream butter with vanilla; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, then alternately the sifted dry ingredients with water until well blended.
Add rolled oats.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 12 minutes.
Makes about 15 dozen cookies.
