Crystal Pickles(Sweet) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    25 medium cucumbers, put in strong brine (to float egg)
    1 c. salt to 1 gal. water
Preparation
    Let stand 5 to 10 days.
    Wash and cut into sticks.
    Cover with water with 2 heaping tablespoonfuls alum overnight.
    In the morning, wash, drain and make the following syrup.
