Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter, softened
    3 eggs
    3 1/4 c. cake flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a tube pan.
    Beat sugar and butter in a large bowl at medium speed.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Mix flour and soda and add to sugar mixture alternately with milk.
    Beat until well blended.
    Stir in lemon peel and juice.
    Spread in pan and bake about 1 hour.
    Cool 20 minutes in pan then remove to wire rack.
    Cool completely.
