Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 lb. butter
5 eggs
3 c. cake flour
2 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. mace
1/4 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat butter and shortening until smooth.
Add eggs and sugar. Sift dry ingredients together and add, alternating with the milk. Add flavoring; beat until smooth.
Pour into a well-greased tube cake pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 80 minutes.
