Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
6 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Cream butter and shortening in large mixing bowl.
Add sugar and blend until creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add to egg mixture alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.
Add vanilla.
Pour into greased and floured (cocoa can be used in place of flour) tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool.
Remove from pan.
Top with chocolate icing, if desired.
