Garlic Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shredded cheese
    1/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. milk (about)
    garlic powder (judge how much you like)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together 3 times.
    Add shredded cheese. Cut shortening until well blended.
    Add milk to make a soft dough, then add garlic powder.
    Turn out on a lightly floured board.
    Roll into 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut with biscuit cutter or into squares with a knife.
    Place in a baking sheet and bake at 425\u00b0 (hot oven) for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 12 (2-inch) biscuits.
