Pear Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 lb. pears
7 lb. sugar
1 large can crushed pineapple
2 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
Preparation

Process or grind pears.
Add sugar and let stand for 2 hours. Add pineapple and lemon juice.
Cook until thickened, approximately two or more hours.
Put into sterilized jars. Yields approximately 8 to 12 pints.
