Eastern North Carolina Pork Barbecue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 to 6 lb.) pork shoulder roast or Boston butt
    1 c. white vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Place pork fat-side down on an unheated broiler pan rack.
    Cook in a 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 50 minutes per pound or until internal temperature measures 185\u00b0.
    (Or place meat in a crockery cooker and add 1/2 cup water.
    Cover; cook on low heat setting 10 to 12 hours or high heat setting 5 to 6 hours.)
