West Coast Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 diced bacon slices
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3 c. diced potatoes
    2 (7 oz.) cans minced clams and liquid
    1 c. water
    2 (13 oz.) cans evaporated milk
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    In a 3-quart glass casserole, microwave on High the bacon and onion for 3 to 4 minutes.
    Add potatoes, clam liquid and water; microwave on High 15 to 18 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes.
    Add clams and milk and salt and pepper to taste.
    Microwave on High 5 minutes, stirring twice.
    Rest 5 minutes.
    Serves 4 to 6.
