6 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation

Add sugar and vinegar, using a large heavy container.
Cook, stirring constantly.
(For smaller amounts, sweeten to taste, and a small amount of vinegar.)
Cook until thick enough to spread on dough for pies.
This freezes well or may be canned.
