Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Kraft caramels
    1 German chocolate cake mix (with pudding)
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk (over low flames). Mix cake mix and butter together.
    Grease a 9 x 13 x 2-inch cake pan.
    Pat half of the cake mixture in a greased cake pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
    Remove from oven and spread the melted caramel mixture over the cake layer.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup of nuts and 1 cup of chocolate chips over caramel layer, then drop remaining cake mixture by spoonfuls over the nuts and chocolate chips. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of nuts on top and bake for 20 more minutes.
