Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. (4 oz.) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    dash of red pepper
Preparation
    Cut shortening into flour until mixture is coarse crumbs.
    Add milk and stir with a fork until dough leaves sides of bowl.
    Turn dough out onto a lightly floured board; knead until smooth.
    Roll to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with a floured 2-inch cutter.
    Bake in a preheated oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
