Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped dates
3/4 c. raisins
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. soft shortening
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 unbeaten eggs
1 1/2 c. applesauce

Preparation

Add flour, baking soda and salt together.
Add in dates, raisins and nuts.
Cream shortening with spices, cocoa and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time and alternate flour mixture and applesauce; add all together.
Bake in cake pan for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
