German Chocolate Cake Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. coconut
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine the evaporated milk, sugar, 3 slightly beaten egg yolks, butter and the vanilla.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened, about 12 minutes.
    Add the coconut and chopped pecans.
    Cool until thick enough to spread.
    Makes 2 1/2 cups.
