Ingredients

1 Tbsp. butter
1 egg yolk
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
2 Tbsp. cornstarch (may add more)
1 lemon
Preparation

Grate the rind of the lemon and squeeze the juice.
Use a good boiler and stir the egg yolk, sugar, water, lemon and juice, and cornstarch.
Cook until icing has thickened.
