Southern Cheese Souffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh sausage, cooked and drained
    1 c. grits
    3 c. water
    1/3 c. milk
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. cheese, grated
    3 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    Cook the grits in the water until done.
    Add the milk, butter and cheese.
    Mix well until all of the cheese is melted.
    Fold in well beaten eggs.
    Put a layer of sausage in a lightly greased casserole.
    Fold remaining sausage into mixture.
    Pour in casserole.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
