Chunky Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. diced onions
    2 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 c. cream-style corn
Preparation
    Cook potatoes, carrots, celery and onion in boiling water for 10 minutes.
    While vegetables are cooking, melt butter, stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
    Gradually stir in milk, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Add cheese, stirring until melted. Stir in corn, heat thoroughly, but do not boil.
    Add cooked vegetables with liquid; stir and serve.
