Fresh Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked pie crust
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    3/4 c. water
    3 Tbsp. peach jello
    1 container Cool Whip
    1 large pkg. cream cheese
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    6 large, ripe peaches, peeled
Preparation
    Bake pie shell and let cool.
    Beat 1 large package of cream cheese and the powdered sugar together until nice and smooth. Cover the bottom of the pie shell with the mixture.
    Mix together cornstarch and sugar; add water.
    Cook together, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Remove from the heat and add jello, stirring well.
    Let it cool.
    Fill pie plate with sliced peaches. Pour cooled syrup over peaches and refrigerate until set.
    Cover with Cool Whip.
