Fruit And Nut Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 slices day-old bread
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. evaporated milk
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 (21 oz.) can apple pie filling
    2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
    1 c. golden raisins
    3/4 c. margarine, melted
Preparation
    Cut bread into 1-inch cubes.
    In large bowl, combine bread and sugar.
    Set aside.
    In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, cinnamon, salt and vanilla until foamy.
    Pour over bread and sugar; mix well. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
    Cut apple pie slices in half.
    Stir apple slices and all remaining ingredients into chilled mixture.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until firm.
    Cut into squares.
    Serve warm or cold with whipped topping or ice cream. Yield:
    12 to 15 servings.
