Swiss Turkey Ham Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 small pkg. slivered almonds
    1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
    1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
    1 c. light cream
    2 Tbsp. dry sherry
    2 c. cubed turkey or chicken (white meat)
    1 c. cubed cooked ham
    1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Cook onion in 2 tablespoons butter until tender, not brown. Blend in flour, salt, pepper, undrained mushrooms, cream and sherry. Cook and stir until thickened. Add turkey or chicken, ham and nuts. Pour in 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Top with cheese. Mix crumbs and butter and sprinkle around edges of casserole dish. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes until brown.
