Spareribs And Kraut - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 to 3 lb. spareribs, cut up
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 1/2 c. sauerkraut
2 medium carrots, shredded
1 1/2 c. tomato juice
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. caraway seed
1 apple, unpared and finely chopped
Preparation

Season ribs with salt and pepper.
Combine kraut and liquid with remaining ingredients.
Place in Dutch oven.
Place ribs meaty side up atop kraut.
Bake, covered, in a 350\u00b0 oven for 2 1/3 to 3 1/2 hours or until ribs are done.
During last hour, baste kraut with juices.
