Sand Tarts(Real Old German Style) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. butter
2 eggs, well beaten
white of one egg
4 c. flour
pecan nut meats
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Slowly add flour, working well.
Add well beaten eggs and mix thoroughly.
Chill overnight. Roll out thin on lightly floured board.
Brush cookies with egg white.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Press 1/2 pecan into center of cookie.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 10 minutes.
