Almond Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 raw chicken breasts, diced
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. each: sugar, salt and pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 Tbsp. white wine
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 c. chopped mushrooms (canned or fresh)
    1 c. frozen peas
    diced celery
    4 to 6 diced water chestnuts
    1/2 small onion, diced
    1/2 c. chicken broth
    soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. chopped almonds, toasted
Preparation
    Mix chicken with 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, sugar, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    Heat 2 tablespoons oil over high heat.
    Add chicken; toss fry until meat turns white.
    Add white wine, mushrooms, water chestnuts, onion and peas; stir-fry for 3 minutes.
    Add celery; stir another minute. Add the chicken broth; simmer, covered, for 5 minutes over low heat.
    Thicken pan juices with 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with soy sauce.
    Taste; correct seasonings as desired.
    Add toasted almonds just before serving.
